Anti-spam, performance and reliability work at Mailmeteor

Emailing SaaS: spam prevention system (MXToolbox-style), RabbitMQ caching PoC and reliability work, within a structured product team.

Challenge

Mailmeteor is an emailing SaaS (mail merge and mass sending from Gmail). For an emailing player, three challenges are critical: deliverability and spam prevention (a poorly configured send ends up in spam or gets the domain blacklisted), performance under load, and product robustness. I joined the team to strengthen these aspects.

Seven-month engagement (July 2024 to February 2025) at Mailmeteor, as a full-stack developer.

What I did

Front-end development in Vue.js and reworking of existing flows
Setting up a spam prevention system inspired by MXToolbox (deliverability and reputation checks)
A RabbitMQ caching PoC for performance
Bug reduction and product reliability work

Stack & method

Vue.js on the front end, RabbitMQ for the caching PoC. All within a rigorous team: continuous code review, high standards, a mature product development context.
